Lot 1
JA Platinum 7J43 x
Registration Number: 4130109
Often times, one will wait until winter or spring to start looking for the next herd bull.   At that time, there are a lot of young calves that are fat and hairy that look like a great one.  After they shed off and put on their working clothes, they are not exactly what you were looking for.   Here is a bull that is what he is.  He has developed into a stout, structurally sound individual with interesting genetics.   His pedigree has some legendary individuals but yet he is unique.  We feel this is the best son of Gold Count to date.  Don't pass up an individual like Platinum.  He is a sure thing.  Jordan Acres would like to keep a 1/3 interest and would assist the new owner in exhibiting him at the National Show in Louisville if they so desire.

Lot 3
JA Creole Maiden 4J37 x
Registration Number: 4089232
When one talks about optimal size, shape and design in the beef cattle industry, we have to be changing our prototype to fit today's cost of inputs and operation.  Creole Maiden was way ahead of her time as a calf and yearling.  She was overlooked in the showring at times but when you see her sale day, I think you will agree that she is what today's standards are wanting.  Perfect udder, easy fleshing, fertile, feminine, and prolific.  We would not be selling her if we were not hanging our hats on the genetics of her son, JA Bloodrock, the '07 Illinois State Fair Reserve Grand Champion and class winner at the NAILE.  We also have embryos by Tonic and full sib embryos to Creole Maiden in our tank.  She is only now reaching her peak productive years.

Lot 12
JA Gold Princess 8J15 x
Registration Number: CM487377
As the Gold Count females come of age and are calving and making cows, the value of them is definitely increasing.  We have calved out several of them now and they are all making tremendous matrons.  Last year, the mother of this female went through this sale as a consignment of Luke Turner.   I had taken a liking to her earlier in the week and ended up purchasing her.   I think when we clip this coupon off of last year's purchase, the cow will be pretty cheap.  The extension this heifer shows guarantees that she will be another feminine, productive Gold Count female.  And that is after a show career.
Lot 22
JA Heart of Gold 7J60 x
Registration Number: *x4137304
Bred Heifer
Here is a female that had the misfortune of being born Aug 1.  At our place, this is a terrible time to be a baby.  Fescue pasture is dead.  Most of the other calves are weaned and we haven't started fall calving. Regardless, this heifer made it quite well, with or without creep.  We had considered showing her and still may.  Heart of Gold could be one of the best Gold Count females to leave the farm. Bred June 29 to Baseline.
